The sun is finally out after the record-setting rains have given way and the storms receded. My family is healthy and intact; my home is safe; only minor damages to the yard. I give thanks that we are whole and made it through this unscathed. Others were not so blessed. We have friends that needed to be rescued and will have a lot of damage to repair. Our job now is to be there for them – we will help wherever and whenever we can. We must because we were spared.
I don’t want to come off as too pious or righteous, but in order to live a happy and spiritual life – these are the attitudes I must have and the thoughts that are to guide me. What use is being untouched in tragedy if you can’t be of service to those that were and need it?
We will seek no thanks nor recognition. We will help because we can and so that when we need it someday – others will do the same for us.
Reach out to me if you need help.
Mike
